WHAT IS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY?
Speech therapy is the assessment and treatment of speech delays and communication disorders. Communication is an indispensable, life-long skill. Speech therapy can help children reach communication and speech milestones to the best of their abilities in order to comprehend language, express language, articulate thoughts, and develop socially.
EARLY INTERVENTION IS KEY
The earlier a child receives high-quality and professional services to address any gaps in their communication skills, the more opportunities there are to influence positive learning outcomes.
WHO NEEDS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY?
Speech and language intervention is necessary for children who aren’t reaching age-appropriate communication milestones, or who are experiencing articulation difficulties that are inhibiting their ability to speak. If you believe your child is not communicating in their most functional way, contact us for a consultation.
Feeding Therapy -
WHAT IS FEEDING THERAPY?
Feeding disorders include difficulties with someone’s ability to chew and/or swallow food safely, as well as to eat a variety of textures. Feeding therapy helps your child learn to eat, or improve their food reportoire! Therapy is designed using a food chaining technique and SOS feeding program developed at the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorders. SOS Approach focuses on the stages and skills needed to be acquired for feeding or eating in child development. This type of therapy is fit for children with food aversions, swallowing disorders, oral motor deficits, or delayed feeding development that can result in inadequate nutrition.

WHO NEEDS FEEDING THERAPY?
Feeding therapy is recommended for children having difficulties at mealtime. If your child isn’t getting adequate nutrition, or has a restricted food inventory, feeding therapy can help.
